Christmas

We are now in the month of December, which means we are close to Christmas. Christmas is my favorite holiday the music, the gifts, food, and just being around family and friends. I love putting up the decorations and even drinking around looking at other people lights outside their house.Its the season to be jolly :)

Keri Hilson "Pretty Girl Rock" is so empowering for females. I love this song and the message that it sends. The chorus says " All eyes on me when I walk in, no question that this girl's a 10 do not hate me because I am beautiful. My walk my talk the way i dress it is not my fault so please do not trip do not hate me cause I am beautiful."  This verse has is saying that i have confidence I know that I am pretty. So other females do not need to try to bring them down and hate on them because they are pretty. Another verse in the songs says " Get yourself together do not hate (never do it) jealousy is the ugliest trait" When you know that you are pretty other females try to bring you down and hate on you, but as Keri said that is not cute. "I know that I am pretty and if you know it too then ladies sing it with me!"

Music

Music is my life. There is so many different styles of music that I like. I can listen to rap, r & b, pop, and even country. Listening to music helps me get through the day. Depending on the kind of mood that I am determines what I want to listen to. If I am sad I will put on some Monica or Beyonce, they always seem to help me. Before I go to the club I will play some hype dancing music. I never leave the house without my ipod my earphones are always in my hear. Music is my heart.

Gentleman

I love being in the presence of gentleman. We can just be friends or dating, they always treat you like a woman. The caring, intelligence, admiration, and respect they give is like no other. They give me hope, hope that there really are some good black men in the world. The kind that cherish women, that think all women are beautiful. Men that work for what they want, support their family, etc instead of hustling. Men that can wear some Ralph Lauren or Fubu and make it look good! That’s the kind of man I want, and I won’t settle for less.

"Prison in February and I ain't in no rush" is what said Lil Wayne said in his song Oh Lets Do It. The superstar MC turned himself into authorities on March 8, 2010 after reaching a plea deal.Wayne is approximately halfway through his one-year jail sentence. According to prison records accessed by MTV News, the rapper has a projected release date of November 4.
While Wayne has been away, however, his presence has remained potent. His protege Drake debuted atop the charts with Thank Me Later on which Wayne served as an executive producer. Wayne even had "I am not a Human" mix tape drop while in jail. So for almost a year Wayne was still being heard while being locked up.
I am sure that all of Wayne's fan can not wait until November 4th when he released so he can take back over the rap game.

Long Lost Sister

Just yesterday Facebook really proved its slogan of connecting people all around the world to me. Yesterday I received a friend request from a person who I had no mutual friends with her name was Chrystal. I sent her a message and asked, "Do I know you?" She replied that she was my sister. I knew that I had an older sister named Chrystal I met her once in my life. She said that she had been searching for me on Facebook for a while but could not find me because the way my name is spelled.  So for the past couple days we have been messaging back and forth on Facebook catching up. I really want to meet her so we can form a better relationship. Facebook brought two sisters back together :)

Everyday me and friends sing this hilarious song. The video started off as an interview of Antoine Dotson talking about how his sister almost got rapped. The way he was talking and his facial expression was so "extra" in the video that people began to make fun him. Everyone was talking about the interview. Now it became a song, it is even on Itunes. Antoine has even performed on awards singing this song. Who ever thought that an interview would turn into a hit song

Justin Bieber is the new teen sensation that is quickly taking the hearts of all the young ladies. From his amazing voice, to his killer dance moves he has all the girls screaming "Baby Baby Baby Ohhh".
He is also a cutie and his bangs seems to be his signature look. It just 2010 and Bieber is a hit who knows what the future will hold for him.

Home Sick

We have been in school for an month now, and I am really beginning to miss Memphis and all my friends and family. Never would I imagine saying that I miss Memphis considering that there is nothing there, but I do. Being the only child with my mother college has been the hardest thing for me. I talk to my mother at least ten times a day,I miss her so much. I miss my grandmother she is my second mother without her I do not know what I would do. Being away from Memphis makes me cherish everything at home so much more I miss my best friends, my family and I cant wait to get home.

Friends

Had a great conversation with a friend about friendships! Everyone is not your friend point blank. Listen to the things they say, watch their actions, & you will learn. With that being said, I'm thankful 4 my TRUE FRIENDS(counted on 1 hand). Those who have my back no matter, tell me the truth, give without expecting something in return, & have my best interest at heart.

Love and Basketball

Love and Basketball has to be my favorite movie of all time. I am sitting in my room and watching it this very moment and decided to write about it. The movie is about a couple [Monica and Quincy] that met at age 11 and it was love at first sight. Some might say that it was "puppy love" but it was much more. In high school they dated and their relationship continued into college with both of them playing ball at USC. Quincy's relationship with his father takes an ugly turn, and it leads to a break up with Monica. Some years later, their pro careers at a crossroads, they meet again. It's time for a final game of one-on-one with high stakes and they play for each others heart. Monica ends up losing the game which meant the relationship was over, but Quincy came back and said, "Double or nothing". They ended up getting married and having kids.
I always hear my friends say that they want a Monica and Quincy relationship because they were the "ultimate couple". So i guess "All is Fair in Love and Basketball"

Sisters

Meet the Bridges sisters, me [Indya] the BIG sister and Mickele the baby sister.

Today is Mickele's 9th birthday, and this is the first year that I will not be able to

go to her party. Thanks to my university being 4 1/2 hours away I can not

celebrate her special day with her like always. Even though we fight 90 % of the time i must

admit I miss the 10% when we use to have so much fun. Looking at the picture of the two

of us makes me want to cry because i really miss my baby sister :(
